Friendship Cake

Hi Friends,

I want to share with you today how I packaged my Friendship cake to give to my friends as Christmas gifts.

I used my cricut explore to cut the tag and the write feature to write the words
Happy Holidays with the bronze pin.  And the snow flakes were cut the cricut cartridge
Artiste @ 2 inches.  I added a ribbon and tied it in a bow on the tag.

I also cut a large snowflake @11.25 inches from the Art Philosophy Cartridge to place
under my cake.  I think this added a nice touch.

Merry Christmas

Christmas Blessing Mix Tags

Hello Friends,

It is getting closer to Christmas and I wanted to share another one of my Christmas projects with you today.  I got inspired for this by one of the blogs that I follow she made some tags for Thanksgiving so I thought that there must be something similar for Christmas so my search was on.  Look at what I came up with.

I used the CTMH Artbooking Cartridge cut @ 5 inches in height.

The tag can be found here.
I printed them out on my printer and then cut them and placed them out on the front of my tag using my ATG gun.

Here is a closer look at the tag.

All of these goodies will be placed in the bag for the boys in my son's
scout troop for an up coming Court of Honor and Duty to God classes.

I will have to make 50 bags I will be using the clear Celo bags from Wilton. I go these at
Walmart they are called shaped party bags, you get 100 bags for about 3.50 not bad at all.  I hope the boys will enjoy this special treat and take away with then something they have learned by reading the tag.

Holiday Gift Box

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a gift box that I made for my son.  For one of the gift cards that I have purchased for him.

I used some light green card stock from my stash.  The box was cut using my Cricut
Explorer along with the Pretty Packages Digital Set.

I cut the box @ 11.19 in height which cut proportionally.

After it scored the box then the explorer cut it out.  I removed it from the mat and then began to assemble the box.  It was tricky at first because I do not have the physical cartridge.  This was a digital cartridge set that came with the explorer bundle.  But I managed to get it put together.
I will decorate it with just a Shinny bow maybe silver.

I hope this post will make you want to make your own little gift boxes.

Christmas Tags

Hello Friends,

I know two post in one day.  But I wanted to get this one up this morning.

Today I am sharing some tags that I made for a challenge over on Cards TV .

I used my Explore and Design Space to design and cut my tags.
This snow flake came from CTMH Artiste Cartridge cut @ 2 inches.
I took the inside of the cut at also added it to the tag. I added text to this tag using the write feature on
my Explore and the gold cricut pen.  I used some foam squares to pop my snow flake up for that 3D effect.

This snow man on this tag I thought was cute. I found him on the
Winter Frolic Cartridge.  I used the pint then cut feature to cut him out.
For the sentiment I used CTMH stamp set called Holiday Tags.  I stamped the sentiment with Versa Mark ink and then some Zing  dark blue embossing powder.  This tag can be found on the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  I used some blue glittered card stock to back my snow flake from Hobby Lobby's glittered card stock stack.  The snow man is popped up in foam squares.

This take I made very simple using a wreath from Potpourri Basket Cartridge.
I used glittered card stock from Hobby Lobby to cut the holly from Cake Seasonal Sampler Cartridge.
I also used Blue Zing embossing powder and the sentiment came from CTMH holiday tags stamp set.
It did not turn out that well but I enjoyed putting the wreath together so I thought I would still share it.  I used foam squares to pop up my wreath on the front of this tag.

Here are all three tags together.  Which one do you like?   I have not added the ribbon to my tags as of yet but will do so before I use them on presents for my family.

Redskins Birthday Card

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a Birthday card made for my Husband for his Birthday.

I used a file from SVG cuts called Game Day Collection.

I cut my football player at 3 inches and the game day sign the same.

I went to the internet and found some other elements for
the card that I could not find any where .

My Husbands favorite football team is the Redskins and
I had to go the internet to get some of the elements
for the card.

I also used some of the other pieces from the file I got from svg cuts.

Like the first down flag the helmet and the air horn.

I used a cricut cartridge for the Happy Birthday and placed it on
a piece of black card stock.

I hope you enjoyed this card and get inspired to
get a file from svg cuts.

Christmas Decorations

Hello All,

It is my favorite time of year and I have started preparing my decorations for Christmas.

I think these  came out great, I purchased the candle holders
from the dollar tree, The glitter papers came from
Hobby Lobby the Glittered card stock from the Paper Studio.
I used blue, green, and gold.

This tree came from the cricut I can't remember what cartridges I used.
I know this is not right but I was brain storming and using the Design Space software
and not a physical cartridge. I then cut them out using my Explore machine.

I also used some different squares and attached them to my shape in Design Space.
I also purchased some tea light battery operated candles from my Dollar store,
you get two in the pack for a dollar.

I used some vellum paper to add to my glass holders
I think it added a nice touch.

The snowman was also cut from a cricut cartridge all of the
different squares were cut at 3 inches.

I loved how these came out you can do this for any holiday and
give your home that special touch.

I hope you enjoyed my decorations and I hope that it
inspired you to make some of your own.

Birthday Card for my Son

Hello Friends,

Today I wanted to share one of the birthday cards that I made for my sons birthday this year.

This card was cut @ 7 inches from the Artfully Sent cartridge.
I used The new Explore to cut this and it cut so smoothly, no snags in my paper and
it cut fast as well. I did not have to worry about the depth of the blade or any thing else for that
matter just set the dial to card stock and that was it.

I used my new scor pal to score the card at 5 inches.  The paper came from CTMH.

The hardest part of making this card was trying to decide what
pieces of paper I wanted to back my words.  I wanted to used bright colors and I think that I
accomplished my goal.  The pieces were cut different sizes just big enough to cover the word.

Here is the finished card I like how it turned out.

So now on to the inside.  I took a piece of paper from the scraps of the card cut it at 2 x 5 and
placed it on the top I used the stamp set called
Cricut Artiste Birthday Collection for the sentiments.

I used the scor pal to make an envelope for my card this was one of the templates that
came with the scor pal.  It worked out great.
I hoped you liked the project today.

The jems are also from Bo Bunny

Artfully Sent Halloween Swing Card

Hello Scrappy Friends,

It is getting close to Halloween and I wanted to share one more card with you.
This card was cut from the Artfully Sent Cartridge @ 7 inches.

This is a swing card I used paper from CTMH their new line

I love this paper.

Take a look at the pumpkin this is what the reverse side
of the paper looks like.  The ribbon was from the
Paper Studio I got this from Hobby Lobby sales rack.

I Cut the insert with the word Boo from the same cartridge.
I added some ghost which came from the card on page 44 they were left over pieces from another card that I made.

First Cut

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing the first cut with the new released Orchid Explorer from cricut.

I am so excited about the new addition to my family of cricuts.
This machine is amazing it cuts so smoothly, and it is quiet.
I love the new color of this machine because it has my favorite color as the trim( purple)
Yes I am a purple girl always has been.

I made one of the projects from the make it now series on Design Space.
Cricut  provides all of the materials you will need to make this when you purchase the new machine.
Really all you need it a piece of card stock in what ever color you want to use as your cards base and then another piece slightly small for the inside front of the card, and your preferred pen color of choice.

I used the silver pen that came with the bundle for the tracing of Thank You,
but I have heard that several other pens and markers can be used. I have not tried any other brands out yet, but when I do I will let you know what works and what doesn't.

I can see this being a card that can be massed produced in different colors.
I hope you enjoyed my project.  If you are on the fence of getting this machine I would highly recommend it you will not be disappointed.

Artfully Sent Halloween Pop- Up Card

Hello Friends,

Today I want to share a card made using the Artfully Sent Cartridge for Halloween.

The card was cut @ 5 inches just as the book suggest. I used paper from my stash, I forgot where
I purchased it.  I used a stamp set called Inkadinkado ( Creepy Crawly ) for the sentiment for the front of the card.  The spider was cut from the same cartridge @ 5 inches as well from page 43.  I added some purple jem's from CTMH to add a little bling.

This is the inside of the card I used just some purple and black paper form Colorbok.
I also used some blending  chalk  Bold Bright's from inkadinkado to
chalk the tree in brown and the tomb stone in white to add some contrast.
The sentiment on the inside is from MY Pink Stamper Spooky Puns set.

I backed the moon with a piece of orange paper form Colorbok.
I added some more of the purple jems from CTMH for  a little pop
on the inside.

Here is an image of the card I cut.

This image is of the house and tree which was cut @ 5 inches.

This is a great cartridge and this card came together very quickly.
I think the hardest part was picking out my papers.
