Eagle Scout Cake Toppers

Hello Friends,

Today I have to share with you another project made for my son's Eagle Scout Court of Honor.  I made some cup cake toppers for his cup cakes, They will be what I will be serving at his event for the desert.  Take a look at them below.

So as I have said before, Eagle Scout is a great honor and the highest rank for
boy scouts.  These toppers are a part of the Scout Law with the words on the
back.  A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous ,kind, obedient, cheerful,
thrifty,brave, clean and reverent.

I cut the circles at 2 inches and placed the words inside them using
Design space and then I changed the colors to match the theme of red
white and blue. Then I used the print then cut feature and my Explore
to cut and print them out.

Next step I did the exact thing to make the front of the toppers.
I used an image from the Be Prepared cartridge for scouting.
I changed the back ground color from yellow to red again keeping to my
theme.

I then got some tooth pics and added the two circles together
with some glue inserted the tooth pic between them and this is the finished product.
I think they will be cute on the cup cakes.  I will share pictures after his celebration is over.

Get inspired today and make something great.

Fall

Hello Crafter's

Today I am sharing a fall craft now that we are getting into the fall season and it is October.

I made a wreath using some some fall leaves from garland
I purchased form Michael's they had a 60% off on all of there fall
decor and I took advantage.

Using some hot glue and ribbon I covered the white wreath so
that you would not see the white coming through.  I purchased the
ribbon from Hobby Lobby on the clearance rack for $ 2.00.

I also used another  string of garland that has
some jewels, pine cones and berries on it I got from Michaels.

A closer look at the pine cone and berries.
So what do you think, a home made wreath for under 10.00 using a
coupon on the wreath and the other items for 60% off.
Get inspired today and make a fall home decor project.

Pink Linky Challenge

Hello Friends,

Today I am sharing a card that I made for a challenge for Breast Cancer awareness.
Take a look and let me know what you think.

This card was made for a challenge over on DL ART blog and you can find the challenge
here.  We were to make a project for Breast Cancer Awareness .
This is a A2 size card I used the Pink Journey cartridge for the pink breast cancer ribbon and for the work courage.

I also used on this card some diamond sticklers for the bling on the word courage.
I used pink dots from CTMH.
And pink ribbon from my stash.  I cut a piece of pink car stock which I purchased                                 from Hobby Lobby card stock @ 2 inches by 5 inches for word courage to sit on.

Side view of the card.  A sneak peek of something inside.

I also cut a butter fly from the pink journey cartridge to finish the inside of the card.
I used my diamond stickles again on the butter fly to give it some shine.  I left it blank
so that I can add a personal note.

I hope they find a cure for this terrible disease.  Be inspired today and make                                         something that will show your support.

Eagle Scout Banners

Hello Friends,

I know it has been a while sense my last post, but I have been working on some craft items for my son. He is getting ready to become an Eagle Scout so my focus has been there.  I have made several things for his Court of honor which is a big celebration after he obtains his Eagle rank.  Take a look below.

So on this banner I used my Cricut Explore to cut and Design space
to design it.  The Cartridge used was Over the hill and I cut the banners @
11 inches tall.  The letters were cut from the Cricut Alphabet.  I liked the
way they looked with this.  The letters spell out
" On My Honor" which is from the boy scout oath.

The colors were chosen Red, White, Blue to represent the United States Flag.
This is the Bald Eagle which is also a representation of the US.
This was cut from the Be prepared cartridge for boy scouts.
I used the print then cut feature on this and cut it at 6 inches and used the shadow
feature and cut it in black for backing.

For this banner set I cut it with the Boy Scout Be Prepared cartridge also at
6 inches.  It looks better in person.  I had to use my flash on my camera
and it did not come out that well.

I also used some red, white, and blue twine that I purchased from
Hobby lobby by Tim Holtz idea-ology.  The same as the other banner.

A closer look at the eagle, it will be used on his display table for
his memorabilia from his scouting journey.  I hope you like these banners.

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for other crafts made for my sons big day.

Hello Friends,

It has been a busy summer break with the kids at home and I have found it very hard to post on here,
but I wanted to share with you today a book that I completed yesterday.  It is for my son.  He is working on his Eagle Project for scouting and I wanted to make sure that he had a place to put all of the pictures that we would take.  For those of you who a wondering what an Eagle Project is let me tell you it is a project done to earn the highest ranking in Boy Scouts and it is an great achievement. Take a look at the pictures of the book below.

I purchased the book from Hobby Lobby they had them for 50% off. Great deal huh.
It is a 6 x 12 inch photo album.

The letters were cut with my Cricut Explore @ 1 3/4 inches out of
white linen vinyl purchased from cricut.  I used the Plantain School
Book cartridge for the font.

The blue Eagle was also cut on the Explore from the
Cake Seasonal Sampler Cartridge @ 4 inches.  I used
the print then cut feature on this one.

In all it came out great.  This book will hold all of the pictures that we take from
him working on his project to the completion and set up of the project.
I hope that you get inspired and make something great today.

All of the props were purchased from Michael's for little to nothing.
They are all made of wood.

crowns for the Queens crown I painted it pink and added some jewels,
for the Kings crown I used some glitter paper from the Paper Studio and
traced the crown image onto the card stock and them fussy cut it out.

Super cute glasses.  These were also painted with spray paint that I
got from Walmart.  On the white glasses I added some blue glitter
to add some sparkle.

I used the same glitter paper from the Paper Studio for the bow tie and
for the mustaches I used some black paint.
Over all it was very easy to get these ready.  I hope that my family has fun with these props.
